Charging system
The charging system has only two components. The battery charging coil in the magneto stator has a Red/Purple wire that connects to battery positive. The other end of the stator coil has a Yellow wire that connects to the LR voltage regulator module.
Inside the LR module is a rectifier (diode) connected to ground (black wire) and a voltage regulator function. The regulator is also connected to Red/Purple to monitor battery voltage and control battery charge voltage. The LR voltage regulator module only uses these three connections to provide battery charging; Yellow, Red/Purple, Black (ground).
This is a 'half-wave' rectifier design.
