Outlook
Madarious is a fearless skilled point guard with outstanding speed and quickness who can score, pass, rebound and defend. He excels in running the high pick and roll: he can penetrate a defense to get into the lane to score or set up a teammate. Madarious is exceptionally dangerous in transition. He has excellent ball-handling skills and is an outstanding passer with court vision who will find the open man. He is a scorer with the ability to get to the basket and finish with a floater or at the rim, a very strong mid-range game and has the range to knockdown the 3-pointer. Madarious has great court awareness and understanding of the game of basketball. He is a player who earned SWAC Conference Player of the Year and AP All-American status his senior year of college.

Madarious Gibbs led TSU in scoring averaging 14 points per game and assists at 4.1 per outing. He also led the SWAC in minutes played. 20 different times duringthe 2014–15 season he scored in double figures. His biggest output came in early February when he played an entire game against Alabama State posting 24 points, six rebounds and contributed five assists. Two days later he notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists against Alabama A&M. Madarious was a huge factor in guiding the Tigers to the 2014-15 Regular Season SWAC Championship despite playing without other major contributors at different intervals throughout the year.
