He possesses a great combination of strength, speed and quickness which makes him highly effective playing the 4 and 5 positions on the interior along with the mobility and footwork to defend players on the perimeter. He has always been one of the top rebounders in any league he played, due to his relentlessness and long-lasting energy.
Alejo is a tenacious defender taking every match up personal. He is a good shot-blocker and is an effective rim protector. Offensively, he finishes strong around the basket being able to dominate with either hand, he also steadily had increased the range and consistency of his perimeter shooting allowing him to expand his game; not only having a strong impact on every game, he makes winning plays by focusing on the fundamentals things such as boxing out, setting solid screens, making the correct defensive rotation, as well as moving the ball offensively which often goes overlooked and never translates to the box score.
