represented the Angolan National Basketball team in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
Roberto scored 11 points against the USA team led by Kevin Durant
Roberto Fortes represented the Angolan National Basketball team in the FIBA Stankovic Continental Cup in Kunshan City, China. The other teams competing include the Australia, Turkey and China National Basketball teams.
Roberto played well averaging 13.7 points and 3 rebounds per game in the Cup including 16 points against the eventual champion team from Australia and 15 points against China which was led by former NBA player Wang Zhizhi.
Roberto Fortes is also playing for the Angolan National Basketball team in the Belov and Kondrashin Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia where they will be playing against Spartak St. Petersburg, Unics Kazan (both of the Russian SuperLeague) and Italian Montepaschi Siena of Italy Series A
