  • 1992 Bonn, Germany (This IOI was attended under a selection process initiated from the results of the Toowoomba based school teams competition)

    • In 2003 works for Centre for Integrated Dynamics and Control at University of Newcastle
  • 1999 Antalya, Turkey (62 countries)
    • David Cooper, Carine Senior High School, WA, Year 12
    • David completed a B Eng (Software Eng) at Curtin University. In 2004 he commenced a PhD in Software Engineering at Curtin.
    • Nigel Dahlenburg, Birdwood High School, SA, Year 12
    • Peter Hawkins, Canberra Grammar School, ACT, Year 11, Bronze
    • In 2001 Peter commenced a Science degree at the University of Melbourne. In 2005 Peter has graduated and is planning to study for a PhD. Later researching at Stanford.
    • Ka-Shu Wong, James Ruse Agricultural High School, NSW, Year 12, Bronze
    • In 2000 Ka-Shu commenced a Science degree at the University of New South Wales. In 2005 he has graduated, winning the University Medal, and is enrolled in a PhD at the University of New South Wales in Computer Science. In 2009 he has completed his PhD and works for Open Kernel Labs, Zomojo.

  • 2000 Beijing, China (70 countries)
    • Peter Hawkins, Canberra Grammar School, ACT, Year 12, Bronze

    • In 2003 David commenced studying Computer Science at the University of New South Wales. In 2006 he undertook an Honours year and won the University Medal.

  • 2002 Yong-In, Korea
    • David Ananian-Cooper, St Peter's College, SA, Year 12
    • In 2003 started a combined law/science course at the ANU on a scholarship. In his science component he had in 2006 completed a combined pure mathematics/theoretical physics major in 2006 and later completed the law degree. In 2009 he is working as a lawyer.
    • Clarence Dang, Caringbah Selective High School, NSW, Year 12
    • Clarence studied for and completed, in the years 2003 to 2006, a Bachelor of Software Engineering degree at UNSW. He won the University Medal and obtained 1st Class Honours. In October 2007 he moves to Redmond WA, to work on Windows, at Microsoft.

    • In 2004 started studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Adelaide. In 2009 he has completed this degree and is proceeding to a PhD at Oxford University.

    • In 2004 started studying Computational Science at the ANU. He graduated with Bachelor of Science (Computer Science dbl. maj.) at ANU in 2010. In May 2011 he is working with Google in Sydney.

    • Graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Adelaide, and in 2009 works for Google in Sydney.
