Tankers were previously loaded via loading spouts directly under each of the bank of eight silos. The system was initially changed so that two of the silos discharged via screw conveyors to a shared loading spout. PJC Systems designed, built, and commissioned the system which controlled the silo discharge, and interfaced with the loading spout, and the weighbridge. Modifications had to be made to the loading spout panel to enable the system to work in the manner required by the customer. Since then, the other six silos have been modified in the same way, and PJC Systems have built and commissioned the control panels.
The following photos show the exterior and interior layouts of the panel(s). PJC Systems intentionally mounted the controls low on the door because the panel was mounted above the handrail, making the controls a correct functional height when installed on site. The inverters were 30kW Mitsubishi F740 series.
