Human Machine Interfaces

On all but the simplest of systems, Human Machine Interfaces provide a useful access point to the control functions and information available within PLC based systems, replacing the need for numerous lamps, pushbuttons and meters

The main performance features of a control system should be it’s accuracy, efficiency and reliability. The next most significant features are the ease with which people can access, and influence, the functions of the system.

At PJC Systems we recognize this, and develop the use of HMIs to reflect it.

PJC Systems have used HMIs of various types extensively, to provide everything from simple text/status message centres to multi-screen graphics allowing dynamic display of plant function, with manual control of individual devices (under password protection), data entry, alarm annunciation, and other system features. We have placed significant importance on getting the best out of the features available from the HMI and believe that this is reflected in the quality of the appearance, and functionality of our installed base.

PJC Systems is responsive to the human element of control engineering and have had very successful results covering a range of applications from a simple text information centre, through machine control, to complete process control. (Providing visual representation of the plant, manual control, data entry, alarm monitoring, and many more advanced features available with the higher level of HMI used in that instance)
