Warm Ups
Students are given a warm-up almost daily. Warm-ups vary between individual, group activities, or a combination of both.
Warm-ups give students a further opportunity to learn by:
· Allowing time for transition and focus as students enter the room.
· Giving students a risk-free environment to practice their math skills.
· Reviewing concepts that they are expected to know based on Common Core State Standards for Mathematics
· Offering evidence that guides daily instruction for the whole class, as well as instant feedback to the individual students who may need additional help on a concept.
