Math Manifest

· Stamp Logs are kept in the back of the Math Manifest. This is a great tool to show how your student is progressing through the practice (homework). Teachers stamp means the practice is complete and correct.
Notes
· Notes are a structured tool focused on the main points of each chapter that students are expected to use as they progress through a unit.
· Toolkits are kept in the back of the Math Manifest and are issued for every unit of study.
· They can be used to study for a Unit Test.
Unit Assessments
· Chapter Quizzes
o Students refer to chapter quizzes as ‘Target Practices’.
o These quizzes are designed to show how well a student is doing on the learning target over a few (usually 2-3) class lessons.
o Students must show proficiency on each learning goal (a score of 3 or greater on a 1-4 scale).
o Students may retake these quizzes in the scope of the unit of study.
§ Before the retake students reflect on their mistake and demonstrate a new understanding of the concept.
o There are typically 2 or 3 quizzes per unit.
· Unit Test
o Students will refer to their unit tests as COLs, or ‘Celebrations of Learning’.
o This test is a culmination of all learning throughout the unit. The test is designed to have a one-to-one correspondence with the learning targets in each class lesson and Chapter Quiz.
o Students only have one opportunity to take the Unit Test. There are no retakes.
