PART 1
2 TYPES OF VERBS
Regular verbs:
Affirmative: los verbos regulares, siguen una regla, se les agrega la "ed" o la "d"
Solo se usan con la ed o la d, en afirmativo, en la pregunta y en oraciones en negativo, el verbo va en infinitivo.
Si miras arriba en ese cuadro, tenemos algunos ejemplos:
walk (caminar)-walked (caminò)
study estudiar)-studied (estudiò)
cry (llorar)-cried (llorò)
live (vive)-lived (vivio)

Veamos las reglas para poder cambiar los verbos regulares:
Rule for the verb usage:
General rule: use the verb infinitive + ed:
Example:walk(caminar) ed= walked=caminó

Note: We only use the verb with "ed/d/ied/yed" in affirmative form
In negative forms and questions use the verb in infinitive, we use the auxiliary verb instead (Did in questions and answers and didn't in negative forms)
Example: (+) She arrived late (-) She didn't arrive late (?) Did she arrive late?
Yes, she did/No, she didn't
Estructuras completas:
Note:1st column: get/ 2nd column got
(Look the verb in the first column it is in infinitive, then write the verb written in the 2nd column that it is in the past)
Example:
Negative forms: subject + didn't + verb infinitive (sin la ed) + complement
Exercise 2: Como pasarìas a negativo estas oraciones siguiendo esa estructura?
Example: We lived in a small house-We didn't live in a small house
1-He played handball. → He handball.
2-Susan waited in the kitchen. → Susan in the kitchen.
3-I arranged the beds. → I the beds.
4-They cleaned the classroom. → They the classroom.
5-She asked a lot of questions. → She a lot of questions.
Excercise 3: Write negative sentences
Example: I didn't stay (not stay) in a hotel

Exercise 4: Affirmative and negative

Example: Did you play cards? No, I didn't / Yes, I did

Irregular verbs

Negative forms: SUBJECT + DIDN'T + VERB INFINTIVE + COMPLEMET
WE DIDN'T SWIM IN THE LAGOON
SHE DIDN'T TEACH ME MATHEMATICS
EXAMPLES:
En la segunda, no tengo la informacion por eso utilizo las palabras interrogativas:What/what time/when/where/who/how old/how much/how many/Why etc y respondo con una oracion completa, es decir siguiendo la estructura de las oraciones en afirmativo.
La diferencia entre una pregunta y la otra es que en la primera, solo respondo por si o por o, confirmo informacion o la niego.
WH QUESTIONS
WH-word+ subject verb infinitive + complement?
Answer giving the information you are asked
Subject + verb in the past + complement
Example:
Where did you go yesterday?
I went to visit my grandmother
Interrogative forms
2 TYPES OF QUESTIONS:
YES NO QUESTIONS: Did + subject + verb infinitiv+ complement?
Answer: Yes, pronoun did/No, pronoun didn't
Examle:
Did you go to the cinema yesterday? No, I didn't
Did you stay at home? Yes, I did
