The INFO button
The INFO button does a heap of things.
1. In general, press Info to swap between several screen displays when you think that you are entitled to be able to control some parameter or see that is not obviously on the screen that faces you.
Case: The perplexing issue of the LCD screen display.
First, there is the Screen Button on the left of the Electronic View Finder. This Screen Button offers a choice of two primary modes
Screen Button
A. Show SCP
B. Don't Show SCP
Info Button
1. Display SCP
2. Display Blank Backlit Semi Black Screen
3. Optionally Display Level Indicators if
Custom Menu > Cog D (Display / Sound / PC) > Image Settings > LV Info > Custom 1 or 2 is Ticked
Note: Custom Menu > Cog D (Display / Sound / PC) > Image Settings > LV Info offers
Image Only (Tick mark to allow)
Custom 1 (Tick mark to allow)
Custom 2 (Tick mark to allow)
Case: Art Filter
Switch to Art Filter Mode on the PASM dial
Choose one of the Art Filters and confirm by pressing Ok
Now you have liveview using that Art Filter
If you want to swop to another Art Filter, press Ok and the catalogue of Art Filters will appear
If you want to adjust exposure, metering pattern etc... i.e. you want Super Control Panel, press Ok to display the catalogue of Art Filters then press INFO at that screen to display the SCP.
Case: Remote Control Flash Mode
Camera 2 > Flash RC Mode will then display the Remote Control dialog for Flash Control when you press Ok.
Press INFO at the Flash Remote Control dialog and you get to the Super Control Panel

3. You want to adjust one parameter
Case: Overfriendly flyover explanatory text appear on the menu panels
(and they slow you down when you are furiously trying to walk the menu tree.)
With the top level menu facing you, press INFO (thanks to Tony Tulloch who relayed this from our other friends)
