OM Workspace
Note: I have rescued the Olympus Workspace PDF instruction manual from an older Windows PC - The latest version OM Workspace Instruction Manual does not appear to be available.
Renamed
The previous free raw and jpeg editor offered by Olympus was Olympus Viewer. That name was changed to Olympus Workspace. The latest iteration follows that Olympus has been re-branded as OM Digital Solutions so the software is now called OM Workspace
Downloading
You can download OM Workspace - you will need the serial number of an Olympus body to verify your eligibility. I used the serial number from my Olympus E-510.
Installation (Windows 64 bit)
You will be asked to select a language.
I chose not to set OM Workspace to autostart - I prefer to hand copy files from sd cards to my computer rather than let the programs copy the files.
Updating
The update program can update
Workspace itself when there is a newer version

supporting files
Instruction Manual for Olympus Workspace is a pdf document (Adobe Acrobat file which can be read by any compatible pdf reader). It is not installed with your initial installation of Workspace so when you press F1 or click on Help, you don't get it. You need to run Workspace, then choose Help > Update to launch the Update program which will display that a new Help file is available. After you proceed and complete that task, the pdf document will now be deposited in the Workspace folder but pressing F1 in Workspace may not display the document and after a pause, your pdf reader will display an error message. You might have to restart your PC before this works.
Nifty Features I noticed
Changing Shooting Time on your image files
I live in a country with daylight saving - so the clocks have to be adjusted 1 hour forward or backward depending on the season. Yes, you can remember to adjust the camera clock, but sometimes I don't care enough to remember until after the event. In Workspace, select the files in the folder (Ctrl+A will select all files in the folder when in Thumbnail View), then choose File > Edit Shoot Date (shortcut key is Shift+F2) and there will be a dialog to set date and time in absolute terms or adjust the hour in relative terms forward or backward
Showing Thumbnails as JPEG or Raw
I tend to shoot JPEG + raw so I end up with two files for each photo. There is an JPEG/raw icon on the status bar of Thumbnails View. You can flip between seeing JPEG or raw as the thumbnail representing the two files. If you hit delete after selecting the thumbnail(s) then both JPEG and raw will be deleted, which is convenient housekeeping.
