Nothing But Lies is based off a true story of the life of Philip Malloy (not true). It is a parody of Nothing But The Truth by Avi. The series, so far, has won 4 awards such as the Charlie May Simon Children's Book Award (Book 1) and the Newberry Award (Book 2). Loveable characters like Philip Malloy, Socko, and Bob Bobson Jr. Jr. are some of the reasons why readers love the story so much.

The book series was created about early November of 2015, and will go on for a long time. Readers have anticipated printed out copies of the book to bring the reading experience to the physical black and white ink. Sadly, the authors cannot afford using that much ink. Hopefully, sometime in the future, they will print out hardcover copies of the books.
