About the Society

The Society was first formed in November 1947, but declining numbers led to the society folding in the 1950’s. It was re-formed in May 1972 and thrived during the seventies and eighties, with a boost in membership coming in 1982 when the society produced a special cover to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Berwick-upon-Tweed as an English Town.

Regretfully the Society has had to close due to falling attendances and increased meeting costs.
