This is an exciting time for our club. USDBF offered our club a bid to be one of 5 teams from the US to race in the Senior Women's A standard boat division!!! This web page attempt to provide team members with info needed to make the roster and prepare for the trip. Not much info is available just yet, but the dates below assume similar time frame from the 2024 CCWC.

    • Assumed schedule:

      • • Aug 29, 30, 31 = Practices

        • Sept 1, Tuesday = Senior Women A 2k

        • Sept 3, Thursday = Senior Women A 200m

        • Sept 5, Saturday = Senior A Women A 500m

        • These races will likely start Sept 2 if there is a significant drop in the number of teams entered 1562 in 2024.

          • • USDBF membership, pay $40 for 2026 season: SIGNUP HERE (must wait until Jan 7 before signing up)

            • NJDBC membership dues $200 via venmo @njdragonboat, 

            • NJDBC online registration: HERE

        • Assumed Deadlines

          • 3/30 - Pay Individual Event fee $80 (or 5/18 @$90, or 6/30 @ $100, afterwards $120)

          • ?? - USDBF fee $25 will need to pay around May/June

          • 8/1 - Pay $50 IDBF fee

    • Club Admin - Assumed Deadlines

      • • January 15 - February 18 Provisional Entry

        • May18 - Confirm Entry

• Estimated Costs

  • • 2025 rates = $2050 - $2900 total trip

      • • $155 = race fees (USDBF, Festival, IDBF)

        • $900-$1200 = Round Trip air EWR to TPE (Taiwan Taoyuan)

        • $22-$90 x 2:  round trip from TPE to hotel and back

          • • $30-$90 = Air from TPE to Hualien Airport (HUN),

            • $22-$25 Bus/Rail from TPE to Hualien

              • • MRT or shuttle to Taipei Main Station. WINHEC 2019+1

                • Train (express) to Hualien (2.5-3hrs)

        • $625 per person = 2 share room with 2 double beds, 9 nights (8/29-9/7)

            • Check-In 3 PM，Check-Out 11 AM  

            • Approx 23 miles from race site.

            • rooms include buffet breakfast

            • Shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, and slippers are provided in the room

            • Complimentary WiFi and local calls in room      

            • Complimentary parking (Parking spaces of our parking garage are limited. Lot which is about 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel)                           

            • Rooms all prepaid, must be cancelled by 8/24 for full refund: 

              • • 4 rooms with 1 king bed (8/30-9/7 @ $880), 

                • 3 rooms with 1 king bed (8/29-9/7 @ $1050), 

                • 9 rooms with 2 double beds (8/29-9/7 @$1250)

        • $450 = meals (estimated at $50/day)

        • $250 = share of car/van rental for transport round trip hotel/race site

        • $75 = uniform
