How to Form a Team
What is a team?
A dragon boat team consists of 20 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 steerer. The organizers provide a steerer, you find the paddlers and drummer.
A women's team consists of all female paddlers, drummer and steerer may be male.
A mixed team requires a minimum of 8 women. For each gal less than 8, then the team have have no more than 12 less the number of gals less than 8.
A community team is a crew that has less than 4 practices and assembled just for the festival.
A club team is a crew that practices 2-3 weeks a season. They will generally travel to get in more racing experienced.
Where to find your team?
Pool together you friends from work, your softball and bowling teams, and most importantly - your relatives. There's got to be 20 in there somewhere!!!
