I got interested in a laptop with nVidia G105m in it, but have not bought that because the lacking official driver support.
I have not found an message from nVidia stating whether Linux support is planned or not. I hope it is not a trend that only some consumer products gets Linux support. Especially not for laptops, as consumers cannot choose freely which graphics chip models goes into a favourite laptop model. The laptop manufacturers decides which chips the consumers needs support for.
I have a sense that the G105m series is over half a year old, yet there is no stable driver available for it....
The open source driver can probably be used, but does not provide 3D acceleration
