Divisibility Rules
You can probably tell at a glance when a number is divisible by 2 or 5 or 10. Maybe you also know some easy ways to tell if a number is divisible by 3 or 9. Are there also easy ways to tell if a number is divisible by 11? by 72? In this session, we’ll see why some familiar formulas are true, we’ll discover new divisibility rules for other numbers, and we’ll have fun solving problems with divisibility criteria.
We validate campus parking and provide dinner, and participants earn CPE hours (TEA approved) for this workshop.
Free parking is provided in the Speedway Garage (SWG). Enter the garage on Speedway, between Dean Keaton and 27th street. Pull a ticket when you enter the garage. We will give participants cards to exit. (If the Speedway Garage is full or being used for an event, please park next door in the 27th Street Garage.)
