The Mathematics Teachers' Circle of Austin held its second annual Summer Workshop on August 4, 201. We want to thank all the participants for their work.
There were three Problem-Solving Sessions (the handouts are included in the Attachments Section below):
"A Cube Challenge", presented by Adriana Sofer,
"Counting Fun", presented by Jason Ermer, and
"Symmetries of the Trihexaflexagon", presented by Altha Rodin;
and a Roundtable Discussion touching topics related to the implementation of problem solving in the secondary classroom.
It has become a Workshop tradition to have "Sideboard Problems" available throughout the day. This workshop's problems appear as an attachment below.
