MTCA Summer 2011 Workshop

The Mathematics Teachers' Circle of Austin held its second annual Summer Workshop on August 4, 201. We want to thank all the participants for their work.

There were three Problem-Solving Sessions (the handouts are included in the Attachments Section below):

"A Cube Challenge", presented by Adriana Sofer,

"Counting Fun", presented by Jason Ermer, and

"Symmetries of the Trihexaflexagon", presented by Altha Rodin;

and a Roundtable Discussion touching topics related to the implementation of problem solving in the secondary classroom.

It has become a Workshop tradition to have "Sideboard Problems" available throughout the day. This workshop's problems appear as an attachment below.
