Ron Hagquist of the Texas Department of Transportation gave examples of how linear programming is used to solve real-world problems. He also talked about MINDSET (Mathematics INstruction using Decision Science and Engineering Tools), a high school level course that he would like to see introduced into schools in the Austin area.
