Tanabata Event continues with increased MS building and upgrading success chances as a bonus!

Although it is not the Assault nerf we were all hoping for, its a step in the right direction.

It was difficult, if not impossible to play Heavy MS at close to mid range because of their low Load Capacity and high weight of their weapons causing the slightest breeze to knock them down. In addition, their signature anti-air weapon, charge beam rifles, no longer did enough damage to knockdown balance stacked Assault types from the air.

The changes to Beam Rifle damage are rather lopsided considering Zeon only has two suits with access to beam rifles while the Federation has a wealth of options, but it only makes sense that Heavy Beam Rifles be buffed to be in line with Assault types. This will reinforce and hopefully restore the Heavy MS's role as a low mobility defensive suit with massive fire power.

With the increase in power, expect Act Zakus with Beam Shooter to become a solid Zeon MS choice. There is a risk that the meta game will turn into Wolf GM spam, however. Only time will tell if Zeon has an answer to the combination of G-Line, Wolf GM and ALEX.

Edit: The increase in power of charge beam rifles has been offset by an increase in the charge time and reduction of ammo. These changes put charge beam users at a disadvantage in extended fire fights, but is more than compensated by the large amount of burst damage they can now do.

The nerfs to the Ridden Gelgoog Cannon, although justified and a long way coming, are rather unreasonable considering how strong G-Lines currently are at mid to long range combat. It's just one less tool Zeon has to deal with G-Lines.

And thank god shotguns were nerfed. If it only took around 4 shots to kill an enemy on a Spray Shooter MS, who thought it was a good idea to give Type-M shotguns 9 rounds in a clip which fire fast enough to permanently stagger an enemy? While shotguns should still overwhelm an enemy at close range, it was simply too much.

  • Pilots who upgraded Beam Spraygun and Shotgun receive 50,000 GP per MS and a Master Mechanic Ticket due to nerfs.

  • Pilots who upgraded Ridden Gelgoog Cannon Type-M Beam Cannon receive 50,000 GP per MS and a Master Mechanic Ticket due to nerfs.

  • Modifications of the client to reduce loading times and CPU usage during combat.

  • Belfast re-introduced to the map rotation.

  • 30,000 GP and 1 Play Bonus Ticket given to all pilots as apology for emergency maintenance on 7/4.

  • Pilots who were affected by a bug cause them to be hit with a Leave Penalty due to the game client crashing have received 2 DX Tickets.

  • Tanabata Event continues. Success rates for both critical success and success have been increased by 7%.

  • Various bug fixes.
