Mobile Suit Gundam Online English

What is Mobile Suit Gundam Online?

MSGO is the best way to live out the action and the chaos of the OYW in massive 50 vs. 50 PvP combat. If you've always wanted to infiltrate Jaburo in a Z'Gok or defend A Boa Qu in a Gelgoog, this is the place to do it. There are five classes of MS in the game: assault, healer, sniper, heavy, and artillery and more Zaku and GM variants than you could shake a stick at. You’ll even find pilot-able battleships, mounted gun emplacements, and base jabbers.

Sounds good. How do I get started?

    • First thing is first, get yourself a VPN. MSGO is IP-blocked and you'll need one to log in. Don't worry it's cheap! It'll only cost you around $3/year.

    • Second is to get yourself registered. Check this article out if you need help navigating the moon: Registering.

    • Once you've got the game installed, go ahead and give Starting the Game. From there you can check out the other sections for English translations and commentary.

    • Finally read the General Tips to find out game mechanics and how to survive. Remember, this is 50 vs. 50 PvP. The learning curve can feel steep, the Zaku will feel slow, and the enemies will feel like overwhelming New-types, but this game takes practice. You aren't going to step onto the field in an GM Early-Type and start mowing down Gelgoogs. Don't let it discourage you.

I'm Tummywub, and I'll say it again. I'm the only other English speaker that knew how to play this game.

Two years ago I decided to pick up MSGO and found this wiki. This wiki and the game itself was pretty much dead for quite sometime before I came about. After reading "General Tips" the only tab worth mentioning these days I started to play by myself. I wanted more people to find out about this game so I started to stream it on twitch. I eventually em massed enough people that by the time 2017 came about I had 18 people online every night which meant that we had to form three platoons to accommodate everyone. Was a good time. Since the beginning of 2018 the game is dead on the English speaking side of things. The game still has around five thousand players on Shangri-la alone which is good, but if you're trying to play with people that know English you're out of luck. The truth hurts, but NEOGOONSA was the only active MSGO community. It was the only community this game ever had.

So why am I doing this?

After the Unicorn patch I've decided that I'm quitting MSGO after the first "Ranker Battle".

With the removal of specific leaderboards the game that I fell in love with isn't the same anymore. There's no reason to play anything but assault and support now if you're trying to stay competitive. Top 200 is too competitive for someone to slack off with anything else.

Even though I'm quitting please feel free to stop by if you have any questions. ***Link has been updated 10/20/2021*** https://discord.gg/mUcz6uS7kQ
