Your Rank determines the skill level of enemies you get matched against and also effects your end of math rewards.
Being higher rank makes more blueprints drop at the end of the match as well as higher level MS parts.
In order to rank up, you must first qualify for and then pass a promotional test.
Skill Tiers:
Bronze Tier and below: Lieutenant and below.
Silver Tier: Lieutenant Commander to Captain
Gold Tier: Commodore and above.
Q: HOW TO PROMOTE?
A: SCORE HIGH, STAY IN BA OR SA AND GET KILLS, PLAY SMART.
In order to move up Classes, a pilot must complete Promotion Tests.
These tests are unlocked by earning the requisite amount of points in 120 minutes of game time in Massive Vs.
Pressing [TAB] during the match will bring up the scoreboard which shows the Time Remaining and your current Point Total.
In addition, it will show the number of points you must earn to either be promoted or avoid demotion.
The end of match results will summarize the progress of your promotion test qualify.
If you have reached the required amount of points before 120 minutes, you can start the promotion test right away using the "Start Promotion Test" button. If you don't choose to start the promotion test immediately, the promotion test will automatically start after 7 matches.
Clicking the "Start Promotion Test" button will bring up a banner asking to confirm. Click "Yes" to proceed with the test.
You'll know you're in a promotion test if a Zeon or Feddie banner appears at the beginning of the match. The banner will be purple if its a demotion test. You have 7 matches to complete one mission in the promotion test.
Press [TAB] during the match to view the status of your missions. You must complete 1 mission in a single match within 7 matches.
[As of 8/30, this list is outdated. There are now 5 Missions in a promotion test. You still only have to clear 1.
