During fall and winter of 2018-2019, Montebello's contractor fixed and upgraded erosion control at several points, primarily in our woodlands.
During the construction, resident access to significant parts of the woodland trail was disrupted. This map shows the approximate location of blockages, and early estimates of the timing of the work in nearby sections that led to the closures.
The project began in September and was substantially complete in April 2019, after a number of weather delays. Trails were restored to their preexisting condition upon completion of the construction, before being substantially improved in the trail renovation project of 2021-2022.
On August 4, 2018, more than 30 residents participated in an erosion control walk to see the major areas to be impacted. Photos are available. On May 11, 2019, 22 residents participated in a walk to see what was accomplished by the erosion control work.
