Where to see it: Coreopsis are planted along the edges of the Village Green garden.
What to look for: Whorled coreopsis’s pale yellow flowers are borne above delicate, needlelike foliage.
Benefit to pollinators: This coreopsis attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Birds eat the seeds.
More information: Some Native American tribes applied boiled coreopsis seeds to painful areas of their bodies to relieve ailments such as rheumatism.
