The candlestick designs shown here are of particular interest as it is the only section of the pressed glass catalogue where the numbering system matches those seen in the cut glass pattern books.
All these candlestick designs are likely to date to the 1850s.
The cut glass versions were named as well as numbered like so:
492 = "No. 2 Piano" (pale yellow)
493 = Regina (amber)
494 = Florentine (white)
495 = Cambridge (pale green)
496 = Balmoral (white)
498 = no name given (sapphire blue)
All examples seen to date of the pressed versions are canary flint uranium. It may well be that all pressed candlesticks made by the firm were in uranium.
