GlassGraves

There are a number of glass manufacturer graves at Manchester General Cemetery, off Rochdale Road, north side of Manchester. Situated at a prominent ridge near the entrance of the cemetery, they form the most notable row of monuments in the grounds. Viewed together, the common thread between them is that they all came from Warrington. It is known that the families in the Manchester glass industry were often connected and cooperated to a certain extent. Here we can see that they also decided to be buried as a group.
