This is a similar to the design 228202 from 1869. The base part has a large central star design. The main body of the base has the same diamond shapes as other items from 1869. The outer edge of the base has a wavy edge. The design on the lid is a close match for the base, having a central star, diamond shapes on the body and an outer wavy edge.

This comport varies from their 1860s registrations - it has a more squat shape (or perhaps that's just how it was sketched for the registration). The base is decorated with diamond shapes as seen in other 1870 designs.

This 5 inch diameter small bowl with a circular handle is probably a "handled butter"
To date it is the earliest known pressed example of such a piece - anyone seen an earlier one?

This is a single piece bowl. It has a star pattern at the base. The sides of the bowl are ribbed into 24 sections which alternate between plain and patterned with two vertical rows of tiny diamond shapes. The top edge of the bowl is wavy.
