This site was created in 2009 - I am working on updating this to 2020 game play with the 130 level cap.
Wow, So that covers all your gear, traits, and skills.. Did I forget anything?
Oh yes, some more do’s!
Do
· When you are in a group, and your hunter Rain-of-Thorns some mobs, keep an eye on them when they get loose, and be ready to fear one. Why? Because no one has been hitting them and you have been generating agro by healing your group. So they will most likely be targeted on YOU.
· If your health is dropping fast, be prepared to play dead, don’t use instant heals on yourself, you will just generate most agro making it more difficult for the tank/warden/whoever, to get them off of you.
· When you’re healing, you can also alert your captain to fears, loremaster to wounds and disease, and your hunter to poisons on your teammates, believe me, it helps out.
· Always keep power pots and morale pots on hand, you never know when you will need one to give you that extra boost.
· Don’t forget, its not only your job to heal, but to keep an eye on everything that is going on, and be ready to alert anyone if more mobs are headed your way, or if a mez was broken unnoticed. You can be the eyes and ears of the fellowship.
· Having trouble keeping everyone alive? Well, let them know! They are probably pulling way too much. Or the tank is not grabbing agro as he should; people will not improve or stop doing something unless they know what it going wrong.
· One thing I found *so* useful is show targets target, you will find this option In the Combat section of your main Options menu, you will find a tick box called "Show Target's Target". This does what it says on the tin. You get a very small set of vitals pop up on your screen which will show you the target of your target.
· Another one is Target Forwarding. Again, this is found in Combat Options. When enabled if you are targeting, say, a guardian, you cannot attack them but instead of getting an invalid target message you can choose to use them to forward your skills. i.e. you will attack what they are attacking. As agro is very important for a squishy such as yourself, it helps to know you are twisting your ballads on a mob that won't get upset by it. Probably the two best choices for target forwarding are the Tank (Guardian) and the DPS (Champion, Hunter). Don’t choose a burglar or Loremaster because they might be mezzing/stunning whatever target they have selected. The flip side of this is that you can target off of mobs to heal their target! This can be very handy in the moors for healing outside of your group, as well as incredibly satisfying because it feels like you are directly thwarting their plans.
Great thing, if you are getting shot at by a ranged mob, and *gasp* your fear is on cooldown, try and move out of their Line of sight, like around the corner. It will help you out, and so, help the group out.
