Two Tars (1928)

Shore-leave, a sunny day, a rented Model T and a chance encounter with two fun-loving women – an ideal set-up for sailors Stan and Ollie. Their day out includes a lively confrontation with Charlie Hall before a tit-for-tat frenzy in a traffic jam. (Glenn Mitchell’s Laurel and Hardy Encyclopaedia says this film usually ties with Big Business for first place among the Boys’ silents.)
