Pack Up Your Troubles (1932)

The Boys are on a park bench and Ollie is reading about the USA’s new involvement in the Great War when an Army recruiting team arrive. They can’t avoid the call-up and soon see action on the front-line and their buddy Eddie is lost on the battlefield. They had promised to look out for his daughter and their mission back home is to bring the little girl to Eddie’s parents. All they have to go on is Eddie’s surname - Smith. One of the many potential addresses they try has a wedding taking place, the groom is called Eddie and they announce they have Eddie’s child…
