Opening

The official spring semester meeting of the MCC Pre-Med Club was called to order at 1:30 pm on January 17, 2014 in LS 108 by Chris Valentin, President.

Present

Chris Valentin, Nicole Erjavic, Shoshone Hayes, Ateh Wangia, Thuy Le, Juan Juarez, Rachel Mitchell, Alexis Pawlak, Ariel Smith, Neal Glover, Nathan Glover, and Karina Aguilar.

Open Issues

 Entertainment Books: Need to be sold ASAP since we have been approved to keep remaining books and collect 100% of those funds for MCC Pre-Med Club.

 Restaurant Fundraising: Keep reaching out to different locations to set up dates.

 Volunteering: Scheduled for Habitat for Humanity 1/25/14 and to continue every weekend. Upcoming volunteer opportunities will include St. Mary’s Food Bank, Andre House and Humane Society. Gemini Hospice is willing to provide immediate volunteer opportunities to club members.

 Dates will be established soon for the following trips: Touro University Nevada, A.T. Still University which will also let us tour their cadaver lab, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and University of Tucson.

New Business

 Sign-in will be taken from now on. Priority for trips or riding in the school van will be based on your attendance and active involvement with the MCC Pre-Med Club. Please be aware that when you sign-up for trips and do not show we do not get refunded for what we may have paid and someone else could have taken advantage of that.

 Volunteer hours will be logged individually

 Candidates will be will running for the following position: Treasurer, Alternate Senator, Communications Officer and Recruiter

Meeting was adjourned at 3 pm by Chris Valentin, President. The next general meeting will be at 1:30 pm on January 24, 2014, in LS 108.
