How To Make Hidden Heart Cup Cakes

Have you ever seen a cute heart inside a cake and asked yourself how did they do it? will if you look at the pictures below I hope that you can see how they do it.

step 1. Make a cake white batter mix

step 2. Divide your cake batter in two parts by saving about 1and 1/2 cups of the batter into another bowl add red food color you only need a few drops blend the batter until you get the pink color that you like.

step 3. Place pink batter in a cake 8' grease pan,bake it at 350 for about 20 minutes or until you can put a tooth pick in center of your cake and it comes out quickly.

4. When your cake get done, let it cool off completely, and get a heart shaped cookie cutter and start cutting out as many hearts as you can make.(make sure that you use a heart that will fit inside your cupcake liners).after you cut the hearts I find it works better that you place them in freezer for about 20 minutes.

5. While the hearts are in the freezer, get your cupcake pans ready, add your liner TO them AND add 2 T of batter in each of the liner, when you finish, get your heart cakes from freezer, and place them in top of your white batter.** YOUR HEARTS MUST ALL BE POINT SIDE DOWN* make sure that they are facing the right way.

6. Next is cover heart with about 1 T of white batter.Don't worry if you can still see the pink heart peeking out because when it bakes it will cover it.

7. Place in oven, bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.
