Malvern lost their latest County League match 4.5-1.5 away at Halesowen. John Knee, John Chester and Brian Turner drew their games.
March 6th
In the Club Championship there were wins for Matthew Jordan and Ian Clarke whilst John Chester drew with Geoffrey Herbert.
Brian Turner drew with Ray Collett in the Bennett Cup.
February 29th
Malvern earned a creditable 2-2 draw against a strong Redditch 1A side in the Worcester and District League. Leigh Canham won his game. Results.
Malvern's postponed home match against Stourbridge, in the Worcester an District League, will now be played on May 1st.
February 22nd
Ivan Stringer and Joshua Clarke both played in the County U120 side against Derbyshire after recently representing Malvern in the Marches League. They both won their games and helped Worcestershire to a narrow 6.5-5.5 win.
February 21st
Brian Turner beat Michael Chester and Michael Butcher drew with John Chester in the Club Championship. Brian now leads the tournament with 8/10.
Ian Clarke beat John Varilone in the Bennett Cup.
February 18th
Malvern lost to Abergavenny 2-5-1.5 in the fourth round of the Marches League The match was affected by defaults due to the weather. Results.

Ian Clarke beat Ray Collett in the Bennett Cup.
February 16th
Worcestershire won their final Minor Counties match of the season 10-6 against Nottinghamshire. Lee Davis, Brian Turner and Ian Clarke represented Malvern with Lee and Brian drawing their games. Results.
February 7th
There were wins for John Chester, Geoff Marchant and Ian Clarke in the Club Championship.
Brian Turner beat Lee Davis in the Bennett Cup.
January 31st
Malvern went down to Worcester 2.5-1.5 in the in the Worcester and District League. Ian Clarke won his game. Results.
Lee Davis got off to an excellent start in the Bennett Cup with wins against Ray Collett and John Varilone.
Lee Davis beat Michael Chester in the Club Championship and moves into second place behind Brian Turner.
January 25th
Brian Turner beat John Chester and John Knee drew with Geoffrey Herbert in the Club Championship. Brian has extended his lead to 2.5 points and now has 7/9.
January 24th
Leigh Canham beat Michael Chester in the Club Championship.
January 19th
Worcestershire lost 11.5-4.5 to Lincolnshire in their third County match of the season. Malvern were represented by Brian Turner who drew and Lee Davis who won his game. Full results.
Malvern lost a well contested match against Hereford by 2-5-1.5 in the third round of the Marches League despite a win for Joshua Clarke in his first match. Results.
January 16th
Malvern had a difficult evening away at Worcester in the County League, going down 4-2. Ian Clarke won his game. Results.

Malvern had a fine win away to Olton at Greenlands in the County League. Geoffrey Herbert, Ian Clarke, Leigh Canham and Lee Davis all won their games to make the final score 4.5-1.5 Results.
January 3rd
There were wins for Miroslaw Woron, Leigh Canham and Geoff Marchant in the Club Championship whilst Geoffrey Herbert drew with Brian Turner and Ian Clarke drew with Lee Davis.
December 18th
Malvern are well represented once again in the Worcestershire individual competitions. Michael Butcher, Michael Chester and John Chester have entered the Ball Cup with Brian Turner, Lee Davis and Ian Clarke in the Bennett Cup. Lee Davis is the current holder of the Bennett Cup.
December 8th
Malvern beat Presteigne by default in the second round of the Marches League to go second. Hereford top the table after beating Abergavenny.
December 6th
There were wins for Brian Turner and Lee Davis with the black pieces in the Club Championship. Brian is now in the lead with 5/6.
December 3rd
Malvern got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory away at Greenlands in the Worcester and District League. Lee Davis and Michael Butcher won their games. Results.

Worcestershire lost 7-9 to Shropshire in their second County fixture of the season which was played at Alvechurch. Malvern were represented by Brian Turner and Ian Clarke who both won their games.

In round 5 of the Club Championship there were wins for Geoffrey Herbert and Lee Davis with the black pieces. John Knee drew with Brian Turner and Ian Clarke drew with Leigh Canham.

Malvern drew 3-3 with Olton in a hard fought opening County League fixture. Matthew Jordan won his game. Results.

October 25th
Geoff Marchant won with white in round 4 of the Club Championship whilst Matthew Jordan drew with Leigh Canham and ian Clarke drew with Brian Turner.

Congratulations to Lee Davis who beat Ray Collett of Worcester to retain the Bennett Cup.

October 13th
Malvern lost their opening match in the Marches League to Abergavenny 1.5-2.5 despite a win for Geoff Marchant. The other fixture was a 2-2 draw between Hereford and Prestigne.
October 11th
In round 3 of the Club Championship there were wins for Brian Turner and Lee Davis with the white pieces.
October 4th
Leigh Canham and Ian Clarke won with the black pieces in the Club Championship.

In round 2 of the Club Championship there were wins for Geoffrey Herbert and Ian Clarke whilst John Chester drew with Geoff Marchant and Michael Chester drew with John Knee.

The Club Championship continued with two wins for black. Michael Butcher beat Michael Chester and Ian Clarke beat Miroslaw Woron.

The Club Championship got underway with Brian Turner winning with white against Matthew Jordan.

Headlines from last season 2018-2019
After an excellent second half of the season, Malvern won the County League for the first time since 2013-2014 with seven wins and only one loss. The team finished third in the Worcester and District Division behind Redditch and Worcester.
Brian Turner, Lee Davis and Geoff Marchant all played for the Worcestershire Minor Counties team.
Brian Turner, Ian Clarke and Lee Davis played in the Bennett Cup with Lee, the defending champion, making the final again where he will play Ray Collett of Worcester. Michael Chester and Michael Butcher both played in the Ball Cup.
Brian Turner came second in the Worcestershire Closed Congress with 3.5/5 and retained the Worcestershire Veteran title. Ian Clarke finished with 3/5.
The Club Championship was extremely close once again and came down to the final game with Lee Davis and Geoff Marchant sharing the title for the second year running with 8.5/10. Matthew Jordan had an excellent tournament and finished third with 6.5/10.
