I’ve created this page as a special link to the Sno-Isle Library website kids page. Sno-Isle Kids provides an interactive and fun way for children to find numerous reading resources.  So, what will you find on Sno-Isle Kids? Here are just a few things you will find:

 

Find a Good Book – This is a great way to find a book! There are so many categories to choose from: Find books by genre; find award-winning books; find books by age level; find books about family life; find read-alikes; find books about history, sports, seasons, or special topics; find Washington reads. There are featured authors, books for older kids and books for younger kids.

 

Library Catalog – Access the OPAC; this is the Children’s Catalog, now powered by Polaris Systems. This is very user friendly for children. Organized by categories such as Animals, Machines, Sports, The Arts, People, Places, Holidays, Science, and Dewey Decimal.

 

Listen to Stories – Download MP3 Audio Files and listen to dozens of children’s books online!

 

Tumblebooks – an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love!

 

Homework Help – Live homework help! Math, English, History, Science, Social Studies, States and Countries, Biography, Languages, Megasites, and Plants and Animals. One-on-one tutors are available from 1-10 pm, seven days per week. Grades 3-12.

 

Summer Reading – Summer reading events and activities (details provided here). Fun and always free!

 

Parents and Educators – Sno-Isle Library helps you gather materials for your students and homework assignments.

 

Fun and Games – Huge list of links to lots of fun and games. Just to name a few: Disney Channel, Fun Brain, PBS Kids, and Noggin.
