Create a book club for your school library.
What is a book club? A book club is a reading group . . . generally a group of readers who read and talk about specific books on a regular basis. Kids love to talk about good books! They can learn from each other. This is a great way to get students involved in literature and enhance reading comprehension skills by discussing stories with their classmates. Have the same group or rotate different groups each month. Choose a different book each month, particularly something of interest to a large group of students. Make it into a book party - have snacks and big pillows on the floor as students discuss their favorite novel!
