At Falmouth Elementary School, in Falmouth, Maine, students join a "Mock Newbury Book Club." The librarian provides students with reading lists appropriate to their grade level. Students then vote on the winner! Their 2011 Mock Newbery winner was Out of Mind, by Sharon Draper. The students combine the Mock Newbery Awards with a "book club" where students get together to discuss the books! Students who participate in the Mock Newbery Book Club will vote for their favorite book from the "Top Ten list" at a school-wide assembly.
