About Me

I've created this site for LIBR130 (School Libraries) for Highline Community College. 

I am a substitute teacher with the Stanwood/Camano School District, in Stanwood, Washington; I substitute grades K-12. I hold a Washington teaching certificate for Elementary Education K-8 endorsement. I am also working on a library media endorsement through Seattle Pacific University and Highline Community College. I am expected to complete the endorsement program in December 2011.  I completed my Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, graduating December 21, 2009.

More about me:  I have been married for 13 years and I am also a full-time mother of two wonderful girls, ages 10 and 12.  My oldest daughter, Rylee, is in 6th grade at Port Susan Middle School in Stanwood and my younger daughter, Skylar, is in 4th grade at Utsalady Elementary on Camano Island. My husband, Dave, is a paramedic with City of Redmond Fire Department. Some of my personal interests include reading, playing piano, sewing, and travel.
