Choose your favorite book character! Have an art contest drawing or coloring these characters. There are so many . . . . classics, new book characters, series, whoever you can think of. Then display students artwork in your library! Make a "wall of fame" or put all the drawings together to make a "patchwork quilt" of characters similar to the one shown below. Not only a great way to decorate the library, but also encourage reading, and learn about new literature!
