US Youth Futsal has not adopted the heading protocols set up by US Soccer, thus L.I. Futsal has not adopted as policy either. All players of any age group are permitted to use their head t play the ball.
A new version of the referee pool contact information page has been added to this page.
No one is permitted to put down tape on any floor without the consent of the League President. Right now only one venue has given us permission to put tape down and that will be done by league administrators.
Illegal kick ins are still an issue and not all referees are calling it appropriately. Here is a video I received:
Even in venues where the touch line is close to the wall or bleachers, a kick ins like this needs to be called. Not only does the kicker place his foot completely on the field of play, but he also did not place the ball properly. This is not helping the younger players develop properly and will be an issue for future referees who do enforce it correctly but will face dissent as a previous referee let the players get away with it.
