No one is permitted to put down tape on any floor without the consent of the League President. Right now only one venue has given us permission to put tape down and that will be done by league administrators.
A fairly smooth week 2 with three exceptions. Repeat mistakes already discussed about are starting to bother me. Please don't make mistakes we have already talked about.
1. No one is allowed to sit on closed bleachers. The game at that venue will not proceed if any league official or referee notices any person sitting on closed bleachers. Time keeps going is not added.
2. No one is permitted to put tape on any court without permission from the League President, John Branca.
3. KNOW the rules of the game. Some of the stories I have heard over the past two weeks and videos I have seen have put some referees in a very bad light. It makes it more very difficult for referees who work in a location with teams that have picked up bad habits or have rules that are misapplied or not applied at all. I don't enjoy having to explain to coaches how a referee I assign just plain screwed up. In most cases, it's because he didn't know the rule(s). I would rather everyone be constantly correct than constantly incorrect.
