Regency is a multi-tiered phase distortion synthesizer which supports the CLAP plugin format and is available for Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.

It offers a novel method of synthesis, based off traditional phase distortion synthesizers. Each of the two generator layers has three editable multi-segment curves which are applied to distort the phase of the generator in series, in modulatable amounts. For modulation there are four envelopes, three multi-segment LFO's and two math modulators, each with several built-in assignment slots. There is also a modulation matrix, and for fx includes bitcrusher, flanger, pattern delay, trancegate, delay line and five-band EQ.

You can get it HERE

*SPECIAL NOTE*

About the plugin CLAP format: Currently only a few DAWs such as Bitwig Studio, Reaper, Mulab and Multitrack Studio can host CLAP plugins natively. It may be possible to use a plugin host for your DAW. We suggest the following -  Ildaeil by DISTRHO - It is open source, available cross platform and multiple formats and loads CLAP plugins.

CLAP is based on an extensible architecture. If both your host and the plugin support a given extension, you’ll get access to its advanced features. Regency already supports many extensions, such as polyphonic modulation, preset discovery, parameter indication, remote controls and more.

Why CLAP? See here

If you like the idea of CLAP, please reach out to your favourite DAW company and ask them to support the CLAP alternative to VST!
