CENCON IV IS GEARING UP BIG TIME
We're taking Game Master sign ups for our next big Game Day Event, CENCON IV, taking place on December 12 - 14.
Among all the stuff we usually do, there are 2 MAJOR events going on; Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier Vancouver on Saturday December 13, and Grand Prix Trial Vancouver on Sunday December 14.

Two things today. First:
Dungeons and Dragons Fans,
Starting this Monday, Dennis Y. will be hosting a weekly game here at 3:00 PM. Here's some Details-
In this campaign, the party will be going after Malnik, a traitor and a murderer. Malnik was a cleric of Corellon Larethian whom he betrayed, and he murdered several clerics of Corellon Larethian. He is now a cleric of Vhaeraun and now resides in Cormanthor.
The Liadon brothers will be leading the party. Ivellios Liadon and Thamior Liadon.
Second thing:
As I look at this front page, I realize it looks like I update maybe once every month or so, give or take. The thing is, I update much more frequently, on the internal pages. I post stuff in their appropriate sections, but unless you are scouring the pages, you don't really know that. Here's my fix-

December 13 - 15, CENCON is our big 3 day end of year Games Day Event.
We'll be holding this 3 day event in our usual large event space, upstairs over by Sears. Entry will be $5.00 a day, or $10.00 for the entire weekend. The hours will be Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

One of the big events of the weekend will be the Magic the Gathering Grand Prix Trial Sacramento, slated for Saturday. More info on that shortly.

Well folks, another of our Games Day Events, Halloween Horror Games Day, has come and gone. Dozens of games played, scores of attendees, and a fun time was had by all.
Thanks especially go out to those of you who ran games for this event. It's the game play that is the engine of this machine, and without you, this event would be darned near impossible to run.
I hope to see you all again real soon, and I also would like to take this opportunity to let you all know about our next upcoming Games Day Event, CENCON III. This is our big end of year 3 day games day event, and this year (some way, some how) we will be incorporating comics into the mix!
CENCON III will be held on the weekend of December 13, 14 and 15. We already have a few Game Masters signed up, but can certainly use more. If you're interested, please let me know.

We will be hosting the Magic the Gathering M14 Celebration Event. This free event starts at noon. We will be passing out 1 intro deck and 1 M14 booster pack to all participants (while supplies last). Each event will start as soon as we have 6 participants. Play anyone you want, best 2 out of 3 games. Once you've played 3 matches, you will get another free M14 booster (while supplies last).

Our first ever Comic Event will be here at Leisure Time Games, on Saturday April 20, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Come meet the other comics and manga fans in the area, and discuss current events, talk about how we can make this event even bigger and better, and meet some people are in the art industry.
Speaking of which, we have 3 artists slated to be here, including:
Llyn Hunter- Like most kids Llyn Hunter started at a young age with a crayon in her fist, but unlike most normal kids, they couldn’t pry it out (she can still hear her dad screaming, “Who took all the pencils?” She also fell in love with fairy tales, rocket ships, and mythology, and this fascination has entangled itself throughout her work. A passion for animals and nature also gets wrapped up in the weave of her art so that a vast amount of her subject matter is a mix of creatures of another reality or mind set. For the past many20 years she has worked for just about every large animation studio, and also illustrates for fantasy roll playing and collectable card games.
Rae Wood- Rae Wood is an illustrator who enjoys combing both classic and digital art to create whimsical art pieces. Her professional portfolio includes website UI for several major video game launches and Silicon Valley companies. In her spare time she enjoys comics and gaming.

That was one heck of a weekend,
Thank you to all of you who could come. This weekend's Gatecrash Prerelease Weekend pretty much blew the Return to Ravnica prerelease weekend out of the water, and that one was no slouch to begin with. Overall there was much positive feedback, and rest assured, Leisure Time Games will continue to do what it can to bring more and better events related to MtG (yes, we do have plans set in motion. More info on that later).
This week's FNM will feature a foil specially stamped Skarrg Goliath for all attendees (limited to stock on hand, first come, first served, starting with the booster draft). The FNM promo itself for this month is Reliquary Tower. Also, on Saturday, we'll be hosting a tournament to ring in the new set- format to be determined. Gatecrash Games Day will be at the end of the month with free stuff for participants in that one too.

CENCON II, the Wrap Up,
Well, there it is folks, another year of LTG Games Day Events comes to a close with our second ever CENCON 3 day game event. Once again, attendance broke the century mark, with 103 in cumulative total. For those of you who attended, thanks for your support. To those of you who ran games, you are a crucial part of what makes these events happen, and I thank you. If you couldn't make it this year, sorry to have missed you, it was a blast.
So what do we have in store for next year's Games Day Events? Well I'm glad I asked me that. We're going to expand our events to include more, more, more! There are plans in the works to add Games Day Events that focus on specific game types, with an emphasis on a scope broader than the local scene. These events would include TCGs, as well as a miniature war gaming. That, and I'd also like to add a couple of events outside the gaming world that we've been working on here at LTG- a couple of 1 day Comic Conventions.
With these added events, that would bring our Games Day Events to a total of 10, pretty much doubling our current number. Each of these smaller events will be centered on attracting more games, gamers, and comic fans which in turn will be used to increase the scope of CENCON, making the CENCON an even more extravagant event.
At least that's the plan anyway.
Once again, thank you to all who participated, and for those of you who couldn't make it, don't worry, we'll make more.

Friday through Sunday, December 7 - 9, we will be hosting our second annual Cencon event here at The Mall in the Santa Maria Town Center. Friday will be from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Entry into this event will either be $5.00 per day, $10.00 for the entire event, or free if you run a game. We've got some games signed up already, but can use more. I've been using this webpage for quite some time now. Yeah, it's been nice and all but I think it can do more for us, I the writer and you the user. Don't be surprised if in the next month or so, you come in and see a completely different set up.
We've got some new stuff in; WH40K Starter Set, MtG From the Vault: Relics, comics, trade paper backs and such, and we even now have League of Legends in the Computer Arcade. IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR AVACYN RESTORED; YU-GI-OH! SNEAK PEEK
Avacyn Restored Special Helvault Prerelease Event is this weekend everyone. Saturday is completely full, but Sunday still has 14 slots left. Come sign up while you still can.
Also, this Sunday at Leisure Time Games, we will be hosting the Galactic Overlords Sneak Peek.
We start promptly at 3:00 PM. $20.00 gets you 5 boosters, the promo Noble Knight Artorigus, and a checklist (all while supplies last). Once everyone has signed up, we start round 1. There will be at least one play mat given away at random during the tournament, as well as 1 to the winner. More mats may be given out depending on the number of participants.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ALL MAGIC THE GATHERING PLAYERS
The Avacyn Restored Prerelease is coming soon, and things are going to be a bit different this time around. First off:
WotC is giving us a special promotional item called The Hellvault. This Hellvault contains prize support that is very hush hush. I don't know what's in it and probably won't know until the event when it is opened and we all know. I do know it has seals. These seals will be broken as you the players complete achievements throughout the tournament. Once all the seals are broken, participants will get something from the Hellvault.
Because this event is so special-
WE WILL BE HOSTING THIS TOURNAMENT BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
There will be 3 events going on both days. There will be the Hellvault Avacyn Restored Prerelease Tournament, a 2 Headed Giant Tournament, and an Open Gaming Event on both days. There is plenty going on both days, but if you want to get into the Hellvault Event- and this is important;
WE HAVE BEGUN PREREGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT
Each day has a total of 48 slots for the Hellvault Avacyn Restored Prerelease Tournament. Prepayment is required if you wish to guarantee a spot in the Hellvault Event. Anyone not in the first 48 per day will not get a promo card, nor any of the prizes from the Hellvault. There may not even be a spot for you in the main tournament itself, so remember-
ONLY PREPAYING FOR YOUR SLOT GUARANTEES YOU A PROMO CARD, HELLVAULT PRIZE SUPPORT OR EVEN A SLOT IN THE PRERELEASE TOURNAMENT
You can sign up for one or both days if you'd like. Further, on top of the Prerelease Tournament, there will also be a 2 Headed Giant Tournament and and Open Gaming Event.
Entry into The Avacyn Restored Special Hellvault Prerelease Tournament will be $22.00 per day, which will get you 6 boosters, the promo card and access to the Hellvault Event. Please see above for further caveats. Day Of registration as well as product disbursement starts at 11:00 AM each day. Deck Construction will start at 12:00 PM, and round 1 will start at 1:00 PM.
Entry into the 2 Headed Giant Tournaments will be $15.00 per team member. Both members will receive 4 Avacyn Restored boosters. Product disbursement will begin at 2:00 PM. Deck Construction will begin at 3:00 PM, and round 1 will begin at 4:00 PM.
The Open Gaming Events will be $12.00 and will get you 1 intro deck. The event will begin at 1:00 PM. This is more of a chance to get some extra games in, either in between rounds or if you just want to have some fun with the new set outside the tournament. You can play whoever you wish, and scores will not be tallied.

THE LATEST, THE GREATEST
It's been a pretty busy first quarter here at LTG for the year of 2012. Not only are there more people coming to the shop to take advantage of our game space, but we just increased our DSL speed, which caused more of an influx of Computer Arcade users, and we secured our Domain Name. Now, instead of trying to tell your friends about the cool game store that they can get more info for by typing in the long string at the top of the page, you can now just go to www.leisuretimegames.com. Cool, right?
It doesn't stop there. All the hoops have been jumped through, "I"s have been dotted, "T"s have been crossed. We are now a Comic Shop too! The Santa Maria Valley has been missing a shop like that for a few years now, so we have stepped up to fill the gap. We are slatted to get our first deliveries next week on the industry wide comic delivery day, Wednesday. They will trickle in slowly, until April when the bulk of orders will start arriving regularly. If there are any titles you would like to see us carry, or better yet order for you, let us know and we'll get them for you.

Tomorrow's event, The Magic the Gathering Dark Ascension Launch Party, at the last minute, has been moved to another location in The Mall. Due to conflicting events, we've needed to move locations.
Saturday's event will be held on the upper level, across from Sears, in the old Rock Star Fitness Center. For those of you who wax nostalgic, you may recall this being our old store location.
Sorry for the last minute change, but the unit is awesome, and I for one am glad our Mall Overlords are willing to accommodate us in such a way.

YES, IT HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I'VE UPDATED, THANKS FOR NOTICING
End of year is always pretty busy around here, what with Christmas, end of year inventory, tax time and what ever else I'm forgetting had to be or has to get done still.
So let's get some important stuff on the record, folks: This Saturday at 11:00:00, is the Prerelease Tournament for the latest MTG set, Dark Ascension. If you'd like further info, it can be found here: Dark Ascension Prerelease

Also, comics will soon be making their appearance here at LTG. Diamond Comics, my distributor, has asked me to make some revisions to my initial order. They want to make sure I get the biggest bang for my buck, and I am appreciative of their assistance. I'll be making a page on this site soon, which you will see in the tabs at the top of this page, titled COMICS. Keep an eye out.
Finally, Winter Games Day is fast approaching and we can use GMs to run stuff. If you or anyone you know would like to run a game at this event, let me know as soon as you can, and your game will be in our printed con book. More info can be found here: Winter Games Day

CENCON I, THIS FRIDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Come one, come all to the very first ever 3 day game convention hosted by Leisure Time Games. This awesome event runs on Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, then continues on Saturday at 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, then concludes on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We've got almost 40 games signed up already, with others on the way. It will be $10.00 to play for the entire weekend, or $5.00 per day. If you run a game, you'll get in free. INNISTRAD FOR MAGIC THE GATHERING
Prerelease, this weekend, Launch Party next weekend, Game Day October 29. It's all happening here at Leisure Time Games, and you don't want to miss it!
But wait, there's more- Wizards of the Coast wants us to run MORE events! So if there is enough interest, the Sunday following the Prerelease and the Launch Party we will also host a booster draft.

GAME MOVERS MADDEN NFL 2012 TOURNAMENT
On Saturday September 17, a company called GAME MOVERS will be hosting a Madden NFL 2012 Tournament here in The Mall at the Santa Maria Town Center. Cash Prizes for the top 3 players, and more info can be found here: Game Movers Tournament
CHESS CLUB
The next Chess Club meeting will be on Thursday September 15. The meeting happens at 13:00:00 and runs until 14:00:00. More info will be posted as we get closer to time.
SUMMER GAMES DAY, RECAP
Thanks to all of you who participated, especially The Polycon Committee whose continued support helps make Summer Games Day possible. From the looks of things, we had over 60 attendees this time around, which is fantastic! Congratulations go out to the winners of the Warhammer 40,000 'Ard Boyz Tournament, as well as the Magic the Gathering World Wide Game Day Tournament.
