Halloween Horror Games Day To Host Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group

Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group will be coming once again for a full day of video game MADNESS! Hosts Steve H., Edson B., and Jacob S. will be on hand to run their video game shenanigans.

Events will include:

On June 11th, the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros. and Leisure Time Games are hosting another gaming event. This one is titled Leisure Time Games Presents: SM/O Smash Bros. Tourney #8 "Swag On Em"

Doors Open at 11:00 AM

Events will be:

Project M Singles: $2.00 Per Person @ 12:00 PM

Melee Singles: $2.00 Per Person @ 2:00 PM

Melee 2 Person 1 Controller Event: $1.00 Per Person (If time allows)

Halloween Horror Games Day To Host Smash 4 And Project M Tournaments

Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group will be coming once again for a full day of video game MADNESS! This time, they'll be hosting Project M and Smash 4 Tournaments. Singles, Doubles and Crew Tournaments will be held. Prize support to the top players, plus prizes to be given out to random participants.

Events will include:

10:00 AM Set ups and sign ups begin

11:30 AM Smash 4 Doubles Single Elimination $4.00 per team*

12:30 PM Smash 4 Singles Double Elimination $3.00 per entry *

3:00 PM Smash 4 Crew Battles $5.00 per team *

On August 15th, the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros. and Leisure Time Games are hosting another gaming event.

Doors open at 10:00 AM. Events and times will be:

Entry Fee $5.00 to enter the Games Day, unless you bring a system, monitor or disc. Then your door entry will be free.

Smash 4 Doubles (Single Elimination) 11:30 AM

- $4.00 Per Team

Smash 4 Singles (Double Elimination) 12:30 PM

- $3.00 Per Person

Project M Doubles (Single Elimination) 4:00 PM

- $4.00 Per Team

Project M Singles (Double Elimination) 6:00 PM

- $3.00 Per Person

Side Events:

Amiibo Tournament (Single Elimination) 2:30 PM

- $1.00 Per Amiibo

Smash 4 Crew Battles 3:00 PM

Project M Crew Battle SM vs SLO (After Project M Doubles Ends)

Rules: New stage list for Smash 4 Singles and doubles: Neutrals: FD, Miiverse, Smashville, Town And City, Dream Land . Counterpicks: Duck Hunt, Battlefield, Lylat Cruise, Pilot Wings. NO RANDOM OMEGA FD.

Rules for Amiibo tournament: Amiibos must be level 50, NO EQUIPMENT (There will be an equipment check.). The only stage they will be fighting on is FD, and all prizes goes to 1st Place.

As usual, if you bring a game system, game disc, and/or a monitor to be used during the event, your entry fees will be waived for singles. There will be prizes, which will be determined once we know how many players are here.

Smash 4 Singles 12:30 PM: $2.00 Per Person

Captain Falcon Smash 4 Tournament 2:30 PM: $1.00 Per Person

Project M Singles 3:30 PM: $2.00 Per Person

Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros. To Host Another Event

On June 27, the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros. and Leisure Time Games are hosting another gaming event-

Leisure Time Games Presents: SM/O Smash Bros. Tourney #2

Doors open at 11:00 AM. Events and times will be:

Smash 4 Doubles 11:30 AM

Smash 4 Singles 12:30 PM

Smash 4 Triples 2:00 PM

Project M Doubles 3:00 PM

Project M Singles 5:00 PM

Entry fee to the event will be $2.00 Per person each event. Doubles would be $4.00 for the team, and a new event will be introduced this time through- Triples.

Steve H., the event coordinator, wants to try something different this time; Smash 4 Triples. Essentially, the game will be played in 8 player smash mode with 3 vs. 3 teams. Team attack will be on. Entry into the Triples event will be $6.00 per team.

As usual, if you bring a game system, game disc, and/or a monitor to be used during the event, your entry fees will be waived. There will be prizes, which will be determined once we know how many players are here.

LTG PRESENTS: SM/O SMASH TOURNAMENT #1 ON MAY 23, 2015

By popular demand, there has been an Amiibo Tournament added to the festivities this Saturday. This has not been added to the Facebook Events page as of the publication of this article (see the end of this article for the link), but is officially a part of the action.

Smash and Project M to be hosted by Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group at Leisure Time Games

Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group teams with Leisure Time Games to host Smash and Project M tournaments on Saturday, May 23, here in the overflow room at Leisure Time Games.

Steve H will be hosting this all day event. Doors will open around 10:00 AM, and the fun begins at 11:00 AM. Each Tournament will have prize support, which will be determined soon.

Here's what the schedule looks like (times are subject to change without notice):

11:00 Smash 4 Doubles $2 Per Team (Single Elimination)

12:30 Smash 4 Singles $1 Per Player (Double Elimination)

3:00 Project M Doubles $2 Per Team (Single Elimination)

4:30 Project M Singles $1 Per Player (Double Elimination)

Steve is currently looking for participants who have:

Systems with controllers

CRTs

Copies of the game

Any other infrastructure necessary host this event (see Steve for details on that)

The first 6 people who can fulfill any or all of the above will have their entry fees waived.

SANTA MARIA/ORCUTT SMASH BROS GROUP TO HOST EVENTS AT THIS YEAR'S CON DE MAYO!!/FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

GAMES DAY EVENT

Two of the organizers for the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Group, Charlie M. and Steve H., have signed up to host tournaments and friendlies for Smash 4, Project M, and Melee at this year's Con de Mayo!!/Free Comic Book Day Games Day Event on May 2, in the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.

Turn out for the last Games Day Event, Winter Games Day, which included a variety of board and card games, as well as miniature war games, saw 100 participants. This total included around 30 players for the Friendlies Video Gaming Event. This year's Winter Games Day turned out to be the largest Winter Games Day Event to date, and this year's Con de Mayo!!/Free Comic Book Day Games Day Event is shaping up to be just as large and maybe even larger.

Charlie and Steve are currently looking for people who are willing to bring monitors, game systems, games, and whatever else necessary to run this event. If you are interested in assisting Steve and Charlie, send them a message via Facebook at the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group page. As a bonus, if you are able to assist, Leisure Time Games, the host of the Con de Mayo!!/Free Comic Book Day Games Day Event will forgo your door fee ($5.00 entry unless you host a game. See Charlie and Steve for further details).

Leisure Time Games is a local game and comic shop, located in The Santa Maria Town Center Mall. They don't just sell a variety of games and gaming accessories, they also provide a place to play, to create a positive atmosphere for social gathering via a hobby shared by millions throughout the world, table top gaming.

The Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group is a group of local video game enthusiasts that meet at various locations throughout the Santa Maria area. Leisure Time Games, with the help of The Santa Maria Town Center Mall, has been making a room available for their use every Saturday.

Locals going on now,

We're still doing what we can in our own special little way to help spread the word about the Santa Maria/Orcutt Smash Bros Group.

We've got a small group playing right now, and if you're interested, come on in. For the foreseeable future, it's looking like we can have space on Saturdays from about 2:00 (or so) on until 8:00 PM when the mall closes.

Stop on by, meet some players, play some games, and help their group grow.

Local Smash Bros group comes to Leisure Time Games,

A local community of gamers came last weekend to play games and have a good time. We were happy to accommodate them, and we're doing what we can to get them to come back.

If anyone out there enjoys getting together and participating in a rousing round of button mashing, let us know. I'll let them know, and maybe we can make this a regular thing.

Speaking of which, they'll be making an appearance at Winter Games Day this weekend (February 28, 2015). Come on in, play some board games, play some card games, and get some video games in while you're at it.
