KI Connection
A resident from immediately before the war.
Newspaper articles refer to his wife (Audrey) who was waiting for him on K.I. during the war, and his visits "home". He divorced her, and she got remarried to Morris Burgess. He was playing tennis in 1940. His name is given to the J. V. Conaghty Trophy (500 yards) Kingscote Rife Club. He was playing cricket and golf on KI in 1948. He was on the committee of the Kingscote Football Club in 1949. In that same year he was working on the s.s. "Warrawee" and met with an accident. He was advertising his butcher shop in 1948.
