After the War, he moved to Stokes Bay, Kangaroo Island where he has since resided.
He flew with RAAF with 37 Squadron in Italy and picked up a DFC when his crew managed to shoot down a Fw190. He flew De Haviland Tiger Moths, Avro Ansons, Airspeed Oxfords and mainly Vickers Wellington Medium Bombers in action and ended up as a Flight Lieutenant. - Chris Ward.
