He won a Military Medal in 1919 for bravery near Ypres in October 1917
He was a commissioned officer (S1187) in WW2 enlisting in 1940 and being discharged in 1947 and at least for some of his service was based at the Loveday camp for internees, aliens and POWs
The spelling of his name seems to vary between KAESEHAGEN and KASEHAGEN. The family came from Hanover in the 1850s and I would suspect the former spelling is the correct one.
