IMPORTANT:
Due to the current situation of a pandemic and online classes I was not able to teach English and have a counselling class, because there was not enough time for the teacher.
c) Comments and findings on your teacher talk and teaching style in the script of the video recorded lesson.
The feedback session with Miss Loreto were really useful, because it helped me to become aware of my teaching style. During my lessons I always tried to promote a good environment for the class, so the students not only respected me, but also their classmates. She also helped me to realize that sometimes L1 is not necessary... I should not translate everything that I say, on the contrary, I should use easy words, easy to understand, so that the students can receive more input, because the english class is the only input that they receive about the language.
What is more, Miss Loreto helped me to to give feedback in a more accurate way. Is not just telling the students what they did wrong, but also contextualize the mistake, help them to improve and explain more than once if necessary, because if there is no good feedback, how are they going to improve and become aware of their mistakes?
