Health Fair
Ka`a`awa 3rd Annual Health Fair was filled with fun, fitness, and food. Our students learned that staying healthy can be enjoyable and nutritional foods do taste good. They also learned that good eating habits and daily exercise can help them to be strong and healthy. Thank you to Lenora Paulo (event coordinator), Tiare Vainerere, Teachers, and all our volunteers for making this event an important tradition at Ka`a`awa Elementary School.

PTO Turkey Imu
What are you thankful for? Our school is thankful for our dedicated PTO members. They contributed so much of their time throughout the year to host important events for our school and community. These events not only bring the community together but they also raise funds to help support our students. The PTO Turkey Imu is one of these “win-win” events where our PTO will cook your Thanksgiving dinner in an imu for a small fee, and all the proceeds will go to support our school. Please click on this Imu Purchase & Instruction link to get more information about how to purchase and prepare your pan for the imu.
- We need help collecting imu rocks and ti leaves. If you have either to donate please put the imu rocks at the back corner of the office building, and bring the ti leaves to the office on Nov. 22.
- The imu will be at Kualoa Ranch on November 23
School Parking Reminder
All parents and visitors should park on the grass area near the basketball court. The marked-stalls and the entire gravel area are for the faculty parking. Mahalo!

Picture Retake Day

Parent customer service - If parents have comments or concerns regarding their child’s portraits, please have them contact our customer service department at 1-866-955-8342 or 808-456-4333
- A Make Up/Retake Day will be scheduled in an effort to capture and preserve all of your schools smiles and allow parents to take advantage of our 100% satisfaction guarantee program.
- Any student that wishes to have their photo retaken must return all of the contents (except for group pictures) from their original portrait package including the envelop to the photographer on make-up day. Because class group pictures will not be retaken, the student will need to remove this picture from the portrait package. (Composite pictures will not be included with the original day picture packages.) New students, students absent on the original picture day or those who want to order additional packages can also have their pictures taken on make up day.

For some of our Ka’a’wa students we also feel the cold ice more frequently than we like, but overall it was great fun for everyone at Ice Palace
