Fun Run Message
Aloha Ka`a`awa Elementary School
The PTO is excited for our upcoming 5K Fun Run: “Lights, Camera, Ka`a`awa 5K”. We have rebranded our marketing to play-up all the movie locations that you get to see on the run and our sign-up numbers have quadrupled!!!
We are really excited about this, and we are working hard to have a great event, so we wanted to share some tips to make things as smooth as possible.
Day of check-in will open at 6:30.
Kokua Foundation will provide a water trough for you to refill your reusable bottles, and there will be compostable cups with water at about the ½ way point of the run. Please come with a full water supply and refill your bottle as needed at our water station.
Please be mindful of any waste, rubbish etc that you may come across and dispose of it properly.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call or email PTO President-
Karla (818) 859-4582 bkmac10@gmail.com
If you have signed up to volunteer- THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! We will be contacting you. If you have not heard from Karla, please contact her.

How it Works
All subscriptions are placed online at www.oahufresh.com and deliveries occur every other week on Tuesday afternoons (2:00pm - 3:30pm). On delivery days please sign and pick up your vegetable basket in the front office. All the items in the bag are chosen for you depending on seasonality and paired with delicious recipes. Every Monday afternoon Oahu Fresh will post to the website what’s in the bag including recipe recommendations on how to prepare the produce. On average, there are 6-7 items in the bag, usually enough for feeding 2-3 people for the week depending on how much produce your household consumes.
Specialty Items
After you’ve ordered your produce bag, you can add on “specialty items” to your order. Items include but are not limited to free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, pork, coffee, honey, butter, cheese, and much more!
Cost
There is a one-time membership fee of $15. Farmers’ Market Bags cost $20 plus any specialty items you choose to add on. There is a $5 delivery fee on each order which will be donated to Ka`a`awa Elementary School..
Fresh, Local, Convenient
O‘ahu Fresh – Hawai‘i’s Food Hub - provides farmer’s market delivery to households who are committed to eating healthy, fresh produce while at the same time supporting Hawai‘i’s farmers. Every other week, you receive a farmers’ market bag of fresh, local produce to your home, office or school. Produce items can include but are not limited to lettuce, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, Japanese cucumbers, papayas, bananas, corn, Swiss chard, kale, butternut squash, mushrooms, carrots and much more. All items are locally grown and sustainably farmed!
